Without Jesus
| Without Jesus - An origianl poem, by David Rodgers Without Jesus, we are marred, cold, and filthy, And lost for all eternity, We are forsaken in the darkness of own disobedience, Unable to be set free. Calling out to Christ for help, We are found, comforted, washed, & clothed. We are warmed by God’s close proximity, We are the recipients of HIS righteousness, holy, glow. What foolishness to deny the comfort of our Father, A love so precious, that he sent his only son. Indeed, rise up, rise up, and rejoice, Our Precious Saviour has cheated death, He now resides with the Holy one. The chains that once bound us, Now lay on the ground broken, We are now free to partake of God’s invitation, Now reborn, we must remain steadfast & true, So that neither man, nor evil can rob us of his promise, No Satan! Not even you. Take heart brothers & sisters, his strength is ample, Our Saviour continues to intercede, Let us follow his perfect example, Wanting to only to please the Father, So by God’s grace, his promise, we will finally receive. |
