What if God wasn't there?

I know I haven't written anything in quite a while, but I've been praying and meditating on the Word, trying to find some direction in my walk with God (which I have had some enlightenment, thanks for everyone praying for me).

In one of my quiet times (which are few and far between) I was meditating on a passage in scripture in which Jesus tells us that the only unforgivable sin is rejecting Him, and rejecting God with him, because He is God.  I start thinking about what it would be like if there was no God.  At that moment... The Spirit made me feel what it would be like if there was no God. It scared me like you wouldn't believe. For a split second, I felt lost, hopeless, afraid, weak, worthless.  After that split second I heard that still small voice again saying "Don't fear, I am here, I never left. The way you just felt, that's how you felt when you were lost. That's how my people who are lost feel everyday, but that is reality to them. They know no different, you do. Find my lost people, bring them home".

Sometimes I take that feeling for granted. I know Jesus paid the price for me. I know I'm saved by his stripes. I know I'm a friend of the Living God, but I take Him for granted. Don't take God for granted, live every day in His grace and love.

If you want to feel what I felt, pray that God lets you experience that. Be warned however, it's a scary feeling that you won't soon forget.
