legalist?

I got an e-mail accusing me of being a legalist.

We all know that GOD'S WORD/LAW/TRUTH,
in HIS Book of LIFE (Genesis to Revelation), is not evil
and we, HIS BODY, should SUBMIT to HIS WORD/LAW/TRUTH.
HIS LAW is not a “you have to” LAW.
HIS LAW is a “if you LOVE ME” LAW.

"If you LOVE ME, FOLLOW MY COMMANDS."

Now,
a legalist will tell you how to submit to it
and if you don't submit to it, the legalist's way,
you're doing it all wrong.
This is a legalist.

To SUBMIT to GOD'S WORD/LAW/TRUTH is LOVING GOD.
To expect others to SUBMIT to HIS WORD/LAW/TRUTH,
in the same manner that I do,
is unfaithfulness towards my GOD.

It is not my place to tell another, in HIS BODY,
how to believe and what to follow.
If HOLY SPIRIT dwells in that one,
I must submit to HOLY SPIRIT’S WORK
in that one.

I do not tell and I do not know
how anyone should live their lives
except,
that one’s life should HONOR GOD.

If I do not understand your way of living for GOD,
as long as I know that you are for GOD,
I know that you are not against me.

If I, a foot in HIS BODY,
would try to tell a hand, in HIS BODY,
how to live,
I would be working against the HEAD, GOD HIMSELF.
Who am I?
Why would I, a foot, tell a hand how to be?

I would be trying to change GOD’S WORK
in and on that part of HIS BODY.
The HEAD, GOD, would not be pleased.

HE CREATED every part of HIS BODY
for HIS PURPOSE and HIS PURPOSE only.

It is not for me to go
and change that part to be like me.

We are...
"fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together
groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
In whom ye also are builded together
for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

A legalist wants everyone to be like him (the legalist).
This would justify this legalist's way of living.

I don't expect anyone to be like me.
I expect to BE WHO GOD CREATED me to BE
and I expect others to BE WHO GOD CREATED them to BE.
And we are to COME TOGETHER, in AGREEMENT,
with HIM and HIS CREATION of each other.

ONE BODY, not necessarily in agreement with each other,
but in AGREEMENT with HIM and HIS CREATION of HIS BODY.

As for me and my FAMILY,
we LIVE to HONOR GOD and HIS WAY of LIFE
that HE WROTE for HIS PEOPLE in HIS Book of LIFE,
Genesis to Revelation.

LOVE, RICOEL

WOW!  You ? A legalist ?  They must have just had a knee jerk reaction to something you posted.  For the love of the purity of Christ is all I have ever seen you portray and teach.  I am the one usually labeled the legalist on most sites, lol.

Some don't care to hear what the Holy Ghost has to say through you Bro. Rico.  When we speak of submitting ourselves to HIM and HIS will, that means we must turn our backs on our own will.  For some that is like unto the rich man.  Some don't want to stop living as they are, submitting to HIM means they must look at themselves through HIS eyes.  Some prefer to stay blind.

Rather than listen to the Spirit of conviction they would cast stones at those who do listen and call them legalist or self righteous just because they choose to live as the Holy Spirit convicts them to live.  As if the battle with anti-christians was not enough we have those who claim to be christians that would persecute their own simply because one chooses to live on a different level.

Scripture says for us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.  Maybe they see in you what they themselves are lacking and are dealing with it spitefully.  I for one admire your walk in the Spirit and pray not only to have your wisdom in HIM but for HIS wisdom to continually work through you to the pages of these blogs for my own benefit and blessing.

Rico, you made a powerful point when you said:  "If I, a foot in HIS BODY, would try to tell a hand, in HIS BODY, how to live, I would be working against the HEAD, GOD HIMSELF."  That pretty well blows legalism out of the water right there.  There are, certainly, some things that are universal, but, if any of us, being a member of Christ's body, would try to conform any other member of Christ's body, to be like ourselves, rather than to be what God has willed for that member, then we could very easily find ourselves not of the body...

Thank you all for your BLESSINGS.
