Be Still

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10. It so easy to just throw your hands in the air, and say forget it and run away. When life gives us more than we can handle, we just quit. All our Father wants us to do is be still. He wants us to be at rest in him. In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus describes it as a peacefulness that we both find and receive as we spend time learning from Him. Most of all the Lord just wants us to know him. I think we live in a society that’s constantly moving at a fast pace, and if we can’t fix the problem then nobody will. If God cares for you, then its His burden, not ours. We are all his children, right? Be still, stop talking at Him. Be still, stop telling him how to do it. Be still. Be still, and listen. Listen for what he can tell you. Listen for him to take control. Be Still, and listen and know that He is God.
